In the winter of 2005, I was in bed with a broken leg due to a skiing accident and was determined to make the most of my forced free time. I had a lot of extra time to listen to the radio talk shows, read the paper, and basicaly be inundated with bad news. Not the most encouraging way to rehabilate I assure you. It was then that I decided to do something positive and a little different to get things back on track. The Save Our City concept is one that I have been thinking about for a long time, but never put into a coordinated practice. Books that I read a long time ago such as "Small is Beautiful" and "Investing Without a Broker" came back to me and all played a part in creating my game plan. One final thing that may or may not work, but I think it is in line with all of my random thoughts on what will make this life a little better for all of us, and that is to "Keep it Simple". No complicated formulas or derivatives, just the idea that helping our family, friends and neighbors makes good economic and environmental sense. Let's give it a try!
